Some of you may remember Dawn from when she worked at the Fitchburg clinic 3 years ago. Dawn is happy to be back and still loves doing her job after 20 years! Dawn and her husband, Dennis have 2 cats, 4 bunnies (Dawn is known as the "Bunny Lady"), a guinea pig and a horse. Dawn is a member of the House Rabbit Society both WI and National chapters, and also belongs to the Belgian Sheepdog Club of America.
In her free time, she lives for vacations in the mountains. Dawn is a very strong supporter of the wilderness, especially the protection of wild spaces in the lower 48 states, and is an active proponent of the grizzly bear. She spends her vacations in Yellowstone, Glacier, Banff and Jasper National Parks. Dawn loves to hike and spend time in the quiet, pine scented wilderness.


Rose HernandezRose Williams, Reception Manager

Rose has been with our clinic since 2004 beginning as a kennel kid. She is now practicing as our Reception Manager. She takes care of her two dogs, Kiwi the beagle and Lupita the chihuahua and husband Sergio. In her spare time Rose enjoys walking, rollerblading and spending time with her family.









Karen KonynKaren Kerl, Receptionist

Karen has been part of our office team since 2007. She has a business management degree from MATC and has been working in the veterinary field for over 15 years. She has two cats George and Lenny, along wiht a flock of children who she adores. In her free time Karen enjoys boating, fishing, gardening and cooking.








Jodi SchuetzJodi Schuetz, Reception

Jodi has a B.A. in social work and psychology from the UW-Madison. She has previously worked as a social worker, family/youth counselor and pre-school teacher. Her love of animals brought her to Fitchburg Veterinary Hospital.
Jodi and her husband have two sons and 2 dogs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and spending time with friends.







Ellea VervetenEllea Verbetan, Reception

Starting in 2003 as a kennel kid, Ellea is one of our longest employees. She has stayed with us during her BA at UW-Madison and is continuing with us during her graduate program in clinical social work at UW-Madison. She has two dogs Riley and Nikki, who have been coming to our clinic since 2000. She could not imagine their veterinary care in the hands of anyone but the staff here at Fitchburg Veterinary Hospital. Ellea enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dogs.
